2020 문화비축기지《글로벌 위크: 예술가의 공원, 치유의 공원》
《Global Week: The Park for Artists, the Park for Healing》
《글로벌 위크》는 문화비축기지 공간에 다양한 국내외 예술가들을 한데 불러모아 예술가들 사이의 교류와 협업을 도모하고, 이들이 실험적이고 창의적인 프로그램을 실현할 수 있는 기회를 제공하는 장소 특정적 인큐베이팅 플랫폼이다.
플랫폼의 시작을 알린 《2019 글로벌 위크》는 공연과 전시, 세미나, 워크숍을 아우르는 8개국 13개 팀의 프로그램을 선보인 바 있으며, 올해는 “예술가의 공원, 치유의 공원”이라는 소주제 아래 보다 명확한 방향성을 가지고 진행되었다.
2020년 10월 15일부터 18일까지 총 4일 간 개최된 《글로벌 위크: 예술가의 공원, 치유의 공원》은 미술, 음악, 다원예술 등의 다양한 장르를 아우르고 한국을 비롯한 미국, 뉴질랜드 출신 기획자 및 예술가 12팀의 국내외 기획자, 예술가들이 제안한 실험적이고 도전적인 프로그램들을 소개했다.
2020년 한 해, 코로나바이러스는 한국 사회 내 수많은 분야에 커다란 타격을 입혔으며, 그것은 예술도 예외가 아니었다. 이렇게 위축된 분위기 속에서 문화비축기지는 예술이 사람의 심상에 가 닿는 ‘치유’의 힘에 주목해, 코로나19 시국에서도 시민들이 예술을 보다 가깝게 경험할 수 있는 기회를 지속적으로 제공하는 한편 예술가들로 하여금 시민들과의 자유로운 소통을 통해 치유의 시간을 생성한다는 목표 하에 주제를 “예술가의 공원, 치유의 공원”으로 설정했다.
《Global Week》 is a site-specific incubating platform that brings together various domestic and foreign artists in the Oil Tank Culture Park, promotes exchange and collaboration between artists, and provides opportunities for them to realize experimental and creative programs.
《2019 Global Week》, which marked the start of the platform, presented programs of 13 teams from 8 countries that encompass performances, exhibitions, seminars, and workshops.
This year, it was conducted with a clearer direction under the theme of “The Park for Artists, the Park for Healing”.
《Global Week: The Park for Artists, the Park for Healing》was hosted from October 15th to 18th. In the event, citizens met experimental and challenging programs proposed by domestic and foreign organizers and artists. 12 teams of organizers and artists from Korea, the United States, and New Zealand participated in the program.
In 2020, the coronavirus hit manyareas in South Korean society, and art was no exception. In such a constricted atmosphere, the Oil Tank Culture Park focused on the power of “healing” when art touches the emotion of people. To continue providing opportunities for citizens to experience art more closely even in COVID-19 situations, and to allow artists to create a healing time through the communion with citizens.
